2nd Annual Virtual 5k Run - 4 - Food
Each year Tradewinds Insurance partners with Coldwell Banker 360 in a competitive food drive that benefits and supports the North Whidbey Help House (NWHH) Christmas in July event. Due to the restrictions presented by COVID-19 in 2020, our annual food drive was reinvented to a virtual 5k, with all profits benefitting the NWHH. Due to continued closures and restrictions in 2021, Tradewinds is once again hosting a virtual 5k to benefit the NWHH Christmas in July event. This past year has been trying for many families due to COVID and the NWHH has been working hard to continue to serve our community. Our 2021 food drive is more important than ever, providing funds for the purchase of food for those in need in our community!
So how do we raise food for the NWHH with a Virtual 5k run?
How it works: Sign up through your Venmo App at @TradewindsIns (be sure to click on the 'Business' tab) or scan the Venmo QR code shown on the right. Pay your registration fee directly to Tradewinds Insurance through the Venmo App and be sure to note under "What's It For?" the name of the participants and their age. You will also want to note your email address and mailing address so that we can mail your swag when you have completed the 5k. The registration fee is $25.00 per adult and $12.00 per child. Once you have registered and paid your fee through Venmo, complete a 5k walk or run (wherever you are) and post a selfie to Facebook, tagging Tradewinds Insurance and the NWHH. For your participation, you will receive a ribbon and medal, racing bib and sticker. All profits raised will go to the NWHH to support their Christmas in July event. Registration will open June 14, 2021 and remain open through July 31, 2021.
In addition to the Virtual 5k, Tradewinds will also be collecting non-perishable food items at our office during the month of July. A list of needed items is shown on the right.
